When folklore found its scribe:
“It is the base of human existence, telling stories. I think we would do well to remember that, sometimes. To just accept our desire to be whisked away and believe that maybe there’s more to this world than we realise.”
Fairy tales and folklore are inescapable parts of Jennifer’s life. Tales from the New Forest, the ancient abbeys and superstitions from the nearby Southampton and Portsmouth dockyards have forever woven their way into her being, inspiring the books she writes and characters you love. Jennifer’s stories offer an escapism to somewhere utterly fantastic, masterfully fusing ancient lore with morals, beauty and promise, bewitching the reader and their parents alike.
In addition to her contribution to children’s literature, Jennifer’s greatly anticipated debut novel has been pencilled for release in autumn 2028; its prose already enticing older readers, beckoning them with its dark and witty alure.
When she puts the pen down:
When away from her desk, Jennifer swaps pens and paintbrushes for the ever-expanding chaos of family life. She spends quality time with her husband, son and two incredibly demanding cats, usually playing board games, building dens or - her personal favourite - exploring the nearby woods. Fuelled by good coffee (or any coffee, she’s not that picky), an inexcusable amount of cheese, a fun podcast and her erratic playlists, Jennifer loves all things creative and is a big advocate for allowing yourself the time to explore your own imagination.
